Decking on pedestals is a surprisingly practical technology that combines
aesthetics and durability. It relies on the use of special pedestals that are
adjustable in height and tilt.

The GLOBAL PROBAT pedestal is specially designed to support elegant paving solutions—whether in
wood, porcelain stoneware, or concrete—on rooftop terraces reserved for pedestrian use. It also
offers a versatile option for creating stylish terraces over non-waterproof surfaces."
The pedestal is composed of:
1. A load distribution base plate with a surface area of 314 cm² (in accordance with professional
standards), placed on the waterproofing membrane or directly on the concrete substrate.
2. A height-adjustable screw fitted with a 113 cm² slab support head equipped with four positioning
fins.
3. A nut for micrometric adjustment, allowing precise height regulation.

SUPPORT REQUIREMENTS
The supports intended to support the pedestals must be stable and level, according to the layout
established by the installer.
In the case of waterproofing installation, rainwater drainage, penetration, and runoff water must comply
with the waterproofing systems and slabs on pedestals
REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO INSTALLATION
The pedestals can be installed: - Directly on a concrete substrate - On any waterproofing (single-layer or multi-layer) - On asphalt - On any stable ground
The height can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the nut.
Consumption guide:
7 pedestals/m² for 40 x 40 cm slabs
5 pedestals/m² for 50 x 50 cm slabs
At the corners or edges of terraces, the flanges of the head should be trimmed using a cutter or wire
cutters.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTION
The installation of pedestals beyond 200 mm is the responsibility of the installation
company. For pedestals set beyond 200 mm, the installer must take special precautions to
prevent the risk of accidental breakage of the slabs.
